Abstract: Most of the information for guide in the Tokushima zoo is in Japanese. However, it is difficult to understand Japanese guide for foreign tourists. Therefore, we need to develop an animal guide application or robot without language query for foreign visitors. One of the ideas is that Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is employed for image recognition for making image query on the application. The application is available to display instantly information about animals in an image or video. For our experiment, pictures including 30 kinds of animals are collected. Around 4,000 pictures were taken from Tokushima zoo for the purpose of this experiments.
