Abstract: Programming education will be compulsory in elementary schools in Japan from 2020, but it is still little information on how to measure the effects of lessons conducted for students. In this study, to measure objectively and quantitativelythe educational effect of programming education, we developed a test of measuring the ability of thinking as a way of programming. In this paper, we evaluate the measurability of the test using Fishers exact test for elementary school students answers, focusing on the grade, the programming experience, and the difference between the results before and after the workshop.
